Libyan

Libyan, as an adjective and demonym, refers to things related to Libya, a country in North Africa on the Mediterranean coast, and to the people of Libya. Libyans are primarily of Arab descent, with a significant Amazigh (Berber) minority, and Islam is the dominant religion.

Language: The most widely spoken language is Libyan Arabic, a variant of North African Arabic. Modern Standard Arabic is used in official contexts, media, and education. Amazigh languages are spoken by minority communities, and Italian and other languages have historical influence.

Geography and economy: Libya has a long coastline along the Mediterranean and a large desert interior (the Sahara).
