Levuka
Levuka is a historic town located on the island of Ovalau in Fiji. It served as Fiji's first capital city before the capital was moved to Suva in 1882. The town is situated on the eastern coast of Ovalau, overlooking a picturesque bay. Levuka is renowned for its well-preserved colonial architecture, which reflects its past as a significant administrative and commercial center during the 19th century. Many of the buildings date back to the period when Fiji was a British Crown Colony.
The town's historical significance has led to its recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013.
