Leviämisprosessit, or levitation processes, refer to the methods and techniques used to achieve and maintain the levitation of objects, typically against gravity. These processes have been a subject of interest in various fields, including physics, engineering, and science fiction.

The principles behind levitation can be broadly categorized into two main types: dynamic levitation and magnetic levitation. Dynamic levitation, also known as aerostatic levitation, involves using buoyancy to lift an object. Superconducting magnetic levitation, which is used in high-speed trains like the Japanese Shinkansen, involves using a strong magnetic field generated by superconducting coils to levitate a train above its tracks.
