Lenyadri
Lenyadri is a complex of Buddhist caves located in the Junnar region of Pune district, Maharashtra, India. These caves are significant for their ancient rock-cut architecture and religious importance. The site is situated on a hillside, with the caves carved into the basalt rock. There are a total of 30 rock-cut caves at Lenyadri, believed to date back to between the 1st century BCE and the 3rd century CE. The most famous among these is Cave 7, which is a large, well-preserved Chaitya (prayer hall) and Vihara (monastery).
