Lassulta

Lassulta is a coastal town and municipality in the Veridia Archipelago, a region of the fictional nation of Eldoria. It lies along a sheltered harbor on the southern shore of Lyris Bay, featuring limestone cliffs, rocky promontories, and a mixture of beaches. The town center revolves around a pedestrian plaza and a historic church, with a small market area that serves both residents and fishermen.

Founded in the 12th century by fishing communities, Lassulta grew as a trading stop in the early modern period. It gained municipal status in the 18th century and remained modestly developed through the 19th and 20th centuries, diversifying into seafood processing and tourism.

The municipality covers about 30 square kilometers and has a population of around 8,000 as of 2023, yielding a population density near 270 people per square kilometer. The climate is temperate, with mild winters and warm summers, influenced by sea breezes from Lyris Bay.

The local economy relies on fishing, seafood processing, and small-scale tourism. The harbor accommodates ferries to neighboring islands. Public services include primary and secondary schools, a regional clinic, and a library. A renewable energy project, including a small wind farm, is under development.

Lassulta hosts an annual Summer Seabreeze Festival and preserves a heritage of marine crafts. Notable sites include Lassulta Lighthouse, the old fish market, and the Maritime Museum. The town is governed by a mayor and a five-member council.
