Lapihustonia

Lapihustonia is a genus of extinct Passerine birds that lived during the Pleistocene epoch in North America. It is characterized by its relatively large size and distinct morphological features. The genus consists of several species, including L. curationem and L. hespem.

Preliminary studies suggest that Lapihustonia was a distinctly different species from its contemporaries, although its exact relationships within the passerine bird tree of life are still being researched. Due to its geological age and fossil record, much of what is currently known about Lapihustonia is based on incomplete and fragmented information.
