Laphámszöveti

Laphámszöveti refers to a type of tissue composed of epithelial cells. Epithelial tissue, or epithelium, is one of the four basic tissue types in animals, alongside connective tissue, muscle tissue, and nervous tissue. Its primary functions include protection, secretion, absorption, excretion, filtration, diffusion, and sensory reception.

Laphámszöveti, in its simplest form, is a single layer of flat, scale-like cells. This arrangement is known as simple squamous epithelium. Due to its thinness, it is ideal for processes requiring rapid diffusion or filtration, such as in the alveoli of the lungs where gas exchange occurs, or in the lining of blood vessels (endothelium) and lymphatic vessels.

More complex arrangements of laphámszöveti can exist. Stratified squamous epithelium, for instance, consists of multiple layers of squamous cells. The outermost layers are flattened, while the deeper layers may be more cuboidal or columnar. This type of epithelium provides a robust barrier against abrasion and is found in the epidermis of the skin and the lining of the mouth and esophagus.

The cells within laphámszöveti are tightly packed, forming a continuous sheet. They are anchored to an underlying basement membrane, which separates the epithelium from the connective tissue. The cytoplasm of these cells is typically sparse, and the nucleus is often flattened and centrally located, following the shape of the cell. The specific appearance and function of laphámszöveti can vary depending on its location within the body.
