Landwehrkanal
The Landwehrkanal is a 10.7-kilometer-long canal in Berlin, Germany. It branches off the Spree River in Charlottenburg and flows through Tiergarten, Kreuzberg, and Neukölln before rejoining the Spree in Treptow. Construction of the canal began in 1826 and was completed in 1832. Its primary purpose was to improve shipping and navigation along the Spree and to provide a water supply for industrial use.
