Lakimore

Lakimore is a fictional town and civil parish in Brookvale County, Veridia, a nation in the Veridian Highlands. It sits along the Lakimore River, about 40 kilometers north of Veridia City, in a shallow river valley bordered by farms and woodlands. The town covers about 8.5 square miles and experiences a temperate climate with four distinct seasons.

The history of Lakimore begins in 1836, when settler families established a trading post near the river. A water-powered mill built in 1870 became the economic center, and the Veridia Railway reached the town in 1876, linking Lakimore to regional markets. Through the 20th century, agriculture and timber formed the base of the economy, while later decades diversified with small manufacturing and agritourism.

As of the early 2020s, Lakimore has a resident population around 3,100. The economy relies on dairy farming and other agriculture, light manufacturing, and tourism that centers on the historic mill and rural landscapes.

Governance operates under a mayor–council system. Public services include Lakimore Primary School, a local library, and a community center. The Lakimore Mill is preserved as a heritage site, and Lakimore Park serves as a community focal point.

Culturally, the town hosts an annual Lakimore Fair and a seasonal farmers market. Local traditions emphasize crafts, farm-to-table cooking, and outdoor recreation. Notable people linked to Lakimore are primarily local artisans and farmers, with no widely recognized figures.
