Lahntal
Lahntal is a municipality in the district of Marburg-Biedenkopf in Hesse, Germany. It was formed on January 1, 1974, through the merger of the formerly independent municipalities of Goßfelden, Kernbach, Lahntal (which had already been formed in 1971 from the merger of Brungershausen, Grohl, and Silberg), and Niederd --- t --- t. The name "Lahntal" directly translates to "Lahn Valley," reflecting its location along the Lahn River.
The municipality is situated in the west of Marburg-Biedenkopf, bordering the city of Marburg to the south.
Economically, Lahntal is a mix of residential areas serving the nearby city of Marburg and local businesses.
