Lõpptooteks

Lõpptooteks is an Estonian term used in manufacturing and product development to denote the final product—the finished good that results after processing, assembly, testing, and packaging and is ready for distribution or sale. The translative form lõpptooteks indicates that something is made into, or designated as, the final product.

In production contexts it is distinguished from earlier stages such as raw materials, vahetoode (intermediate product), and pooltoode (semi-finished product), which still require additional work before becoming finished goods. The term appears in planning, quality control, inventory management, and contractual documentation to specify when a product meets the defined end-state.

Criteria for designating something as lõpptooteks often include completion of all manufacturing steps, successful quality assurance, proper packaging and labeling, and regulatory compliance. Once designated as lõpptooteks, the item is typically classified as finished goods in inventory and prepared for sale, shipment, or end-use.

Examples: In electronics manufacturing, devices on the final assembly line are designated lõpptooteks after passing tests and being packaged. In clothing production, garments become lõpptooted after tagging, bundling, and quality checks.
