Lågemitterande

Lågemitterande refers to a characteristic of materials or objects that emit very little or no light. This term is often used in the context of optics, display technology, and materials science. A lågemitterande surface is one that does not produce its own illumination. In contrast, luminescent or phosphorescent materials actively emit light.

The concept of lågemitterande is important when considering materials for applications where light absorption or reflection is desired, rather than emission. For example, in optical instruments, lågemitterande coatings are used on lenses to prevent internal reflections that can degrade image quality.
