Képernykön

Képernykön is a nonstandard Hungarian inflected form derived from the noun képernyő (screen). In contemporary standard Hungarian, the locative meaning “on the screen” is expressed with képernyőn. The form képernykön is not widely attested in authoritative dictionaries and is rarely found in mainstream writing. When it appears, it tends to occur in poetry, historical or dialectal texts, or as a stylistic device to create an archaic or playful effect; it may also result from typographical error or experimentation with suffixes.

From a linguistic perspective, képernykön would be analyzed as képernyő plus a suffix resembling the superessive ending -kön. The productive locative/superessive endings in modern Hungarian are typically -on/-en/-ön (or -n after consonant stems), and -kön is not considered a standard productive ending today. Because of that, képernykön should be interpreted with caution and normally replaced by képernyőn in formal or standard contexts.

In usage, if one encounters képernykön, it is best understood as a nonstandard variant meaning “on the screen” and treated as a stylistic choice rather than a replacement for the standard form.
