Kärlbäddar
Kärlbäddar, a Swedish term, translates to "cauldron beds" or "kettle lakes" in English and refers to a specific type of glacial landform. These are often circular or oval depressions found in glacial till or outwash plains. They are formed by the melting of buried ice blocks that were left behind by retreating glaciers. As the glacial ice melted, the overlying sediment would slump down, creating a depression.
The size and shape of kärlbäddar can vary significantly, from a few meters to several hundred meters
Kärlbäddar are common in glaciated regions worldwide, not just in Sweden. They are considered important indicators
