Kweekpotten

Kweekpotten are small pots used in horticulture to raise seedlings and propagate plants. They provide a controlled environment for germination and early root development and are common in home gardens as well as greenhouses and nurseries. When seedlings develop a first true leaf set or reach a suitable size, they are transplanted into larger pots or directly into the ground or garden bed.

Environmental considerations include the recyclability of plastic pots and the compostability of peat-based variants, leading to use of biodegradable or reusable alternatives such as paper, coconut coir, or plug trays.
