Kvanttisähäviöt refer to phenomena in quantum mechanics where energy or information appears to be lost. This concept is often discussed in the context of quantum entanglement and quantum computing. In quantum entanglement, two or more particles become linked in such a way that their fates are intertwined, regardless of the distance separating them. When measurements are made on one entangled particle, the state of the other instantaneously becomes known. If one of the entangled particles is lost or its state decoheres, it can lead to a loss of the correlated information or energy that was shared between them.

Maintaining these delicate quantum states is crucial for computation.
