Kuutiocenttimetriä
Kuutiocenttimetriä is the Finnish word for cubic centimeter. A cubic centimeter, often abbreviated as cm³ or cc, is a unit of volume in the metric system. It is equivalent to the volume of a cube with sides of one centimeter in length. One cubic centimeter is equal to one milliliter (mL). This relationship makes it a common unit for measuring liquid volumes, particularly in scientific and medical contexts. For example, a small syringe might hold 10 cm³ of liquid, or a recipe might call for 50 cm³ of an ingredient. The unit is derived from the base unit of length, the meter, by cubing it. Since a centimeter is 1/100th of a meter, a cubic centimeter is (1/100)³ of a cubic meter, which is a very small volume. Conversely, 1,000,000 cubic centimeters make up one cubic meter. In everyday life, particularly with automotive engines, "cc" is also frequently used to denote engine displacement, indicating the total volume swept by all the pistons in an engine.
