The structure of kutenilmauksia typically follows the pattern: *kuten [subject] + verb in subjunctive/conditional form*. For example, *kuten minä osaisin* ("as if I knew") or *kuten hän olisi tullut* ("as if he had come"). These expressions are commonly used in everyday speech to downplay one’s own abilities, opinions, or certainty, reflecting a cultural tendency toward humility and indirect communication.
