Kulmatyyppejä refers to different classifications of angles based on their measurement. The most basic classification distinguishes between acute angles, right angles, and obtuse angles. An acute angle is an angle measuring less than 90 degrees. A right angle is an angle that measures exactly 90 degrees and is often indicated by a small square at the vertex. An obtuse angle is an angle measuring greater than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees.

Beyond these fundamental types, angles can also be categorized by their relationship to other angles. Adjacent angles share a common vertex and a common side but do not overlap. Vertically opposite angles, also known as vertical angles, are formed by two intersecting lines and are opposite to each other at the vertex. They are always equal in measure. Complementary angles are two angles whose measures add up to 90 degrees. Supplementary angles are two angles whose measures add up to 180 degrees.

Further classifications include straight angles, which measure exactly 180 degrees and form a straight line, and reflex angles, which measure greater than 180 degrees but less than 360 degrees. Full angles, measuring 360 degrees, represent a complete circle. These classifications help in describing and analyzing geometric shapes and relationships in mathematics and various applied fields.
