Kuldakerfi

Kuldakerfi (refrigeration system) refers to equipment used to remove heat from a space or process to maintain a lower temperature. It encompasses a closed loop in which a refrigerant circulates, absorbing heat in an evaporator and releasing it in a condenser.

The main components are the compressor, condenser, expansion device, and evaporator. The compressor raises the refrigerant pressure and temperature; the condenser rejects heat to a nearby medium (air or water); the expansion device lowers the pressure; the evaporator absorbs heat from the target space or product.

Two primary types are widely used: vapor-compression systems, which use mechanical work to drive the cycle, and absorption systems, which rely on external heat sources. Systems can be configured as air-cooled or water-cooled condensers and may be centralized for buildings or decentralized for individual machines.

Applications include food storage and processing, supermarkets, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, commercial and industrial HVAC, data centers, and process cooling in manufacturing.

Design and operation considerations include energy efficiency, refrigerant selection and environmental impact, leak detection and safety, and adherence to standards such as ASHRAE guidelines and EN 378. Regular maintenance is essential, including refrigerant charge checks, leak detection, filter drying, and coil cleaning to maintain performance and reliability.
