Krox24

Krox24, also known as Krx20, is a transcription factor belonging to the family of zinc-finger transcription factors. It plays a crucial role in the development of the nervous system, particularly in the hindbrain. Krox24 is expressed in specific neuronal populations during embryonic development, including those that form the rhombomeres of the hindbrain. These rhombomeres are segmented structures that are fundamental for the organization of the developing brainstem.
