Krasnoarmeysky

Krasnoarmeysky refers to several geographical locations and entities primarily in Russia and Ukraine. The name originates from "Krasnaya Armiya" (Red Army), the Soviet Union's armed forces.

In Russia, Krasnoarmeysky is the name of a district (rayon) in the federal subject of Chuvashia. This district, with its administrative center in the urban-settlement of Novyje Dzerky, is located in the southern part of the republic. Another significant Russian location is Krasnoarmeysky District in the federal subject of Primorsky Krai, in the Far East of Russia.

In Ukraine, Krasnoarmeysky is also the name of a district (raion) located in the eastern part of Donetsk Oblast. The administrative center of this district was the city of Krasnoarmeysk (now Pokrovsk). Due to decommunization laws in Ukraine, many places with names related to the Soviet era, including Krasnoarmeysk and its associated districts, have been renamed.

Beyond administrative divisions, "Krasnoarmeysky" can also appear as part of the names of streets, squares, or other smaller settlements across former Soviet territories, all bearing a historical connection to the Red Army.
