Kozova

Kozova is a village and municipality in the country of Veridia, a fictional setting used here for demonstration. It is situated in the Veridian Highlands along the Veridian River and serves as the administrative center of the Kozova municipality, which includes several surrounding settlements. The community is predominantly rural, with agriculture, small-scale manufacturing, and services comprising the local economy.

The municipality covers about 72 square kilometers of rolling countryside, with fields, scattered woodlands, and several small streams. The area has a temperate climate, with warm summers, cool winters, and evenly distributed rainfall.

History and governance: The settlement appears in records dating to the 14th century, growing around a market square and local crossroads. Over the centuries it passed through various regional states before becoming part of Veridia. Local government is a mayor-council system; the municipal council typically comprises around 15 members elected for four-year terms, and the mayor is the head of the council and executive functions.

Economy and culture: Agriculture remains the economic base, with crops such as grain and vegetables, along with dairy farming and light manufacturing. Small businesses, crafts, and local markets support daily life. Kozova hosts an annual harvest festival and maintains a cultural center and a public library. Notable landmarks include the remnants of Kozova Fortress and the 19th-century St. Cyril’s Church, which are described in regional guides as points of historical interest.
