Korvaturvaan

Korvaturvaan is a Finnish term that translates to "ear protection" or "ear safety." It refers to the use of devices or practices designed to prevent damage to the hearing system from excessive noise exposure. This can include both temporary and permanent hearing loss, as well as tinnitus, a ringing or buzzing sensation in the ears.

Common forms of korvaturvaan include earplugs and earmuffs. Earplugs are small devices inserted into the ear canal, while earmuffs are larger cups that cover the entire ear. Both types of protection work by creating a seal that reduces the amount of sound energy reaching the eardrum.
