Korsholm

Korsholm, or Korsnäs in Finnish, is a municipality in Western Finland, located in the Ostrobothnia region within the Vaasa sub-region. It lies to the southwest of the city of Vaasa and surrounds it on the mainland, including coastal villages and inland areas. The landscape blends farmland, forests and coastal environments, with portions of the Vaasa archipelago nearby.

The area is predominantly Swedish-speaking in daily use, with Finnish spoken by a minority. Korsholm is served by a local municipal council and collaborates with the neighboring city of Vaasa for regional services and infrastructure.

A notable feature is the Replot Bridge (Raippaluodon silta), which connects the mainland to the island of Replot and provides a major route for residents and visitors.
