Konföderáltak

Konföderáltak refers to members or supporters of a confederation. A confederation is a union of sovereign states or groups that are united by a common interest or purpose. In this type of political organization, the constituent states retain a significant degree of autonomy and delegate only limited powers to the central authority. The nature and extent of these delegated powers vary greatly depending on the specific confederation.

Historically, confederations have emerged for various reasons, including defense against common enemies, economic cooperation, or the pursuit of shared political goals. Examples include the Swiss Confederation, which evolved over centuries, and the Confederate States of America, formed by states seceding from the United States. In the case of the latter, the term "Confederates" specifically refers to those who fought for and supported the Confederacy during the American Civil War.

The relationship between the member states and the central government in a confederation is typically characterized by voluntary association and the right of secession. Unlike a federation, where power is divided between a central government and constituent states with a more permanent union, a confederation often has a weaker central authority and a stronger emphasis on the sovereignty of its members. The term "konföderáltak" therefore encapsulates individuals who align themselves with and actively participate in such a union, whether historically or in contemporary contexts where such structures exist.
