Kondensasjonstørkere
Kondensasjonstørkere, also known as condenser dryers or desiccant dryers, are a type of clothes dryer that operate by removing moisture from the air through condensation. Unlike vented dryers that expel moist air outside, a condenser dryer recirculates the air within the appliance. It works by passing moist air from the laundry over a cold surface, typically a heat exchanger. As the air cools, its ability to hold moisture decreases, causing the water vapor to condense into liquid water. This collected water is then stored in a reservoir or drained away.
The dried air is reheated and recirculated back into the drum to continue the drying process. This
