Kondensaadi

Kondensaadi is a term primarily found in the Estonian language, derived from kondensaad, meaning condensate. In Estonian, kondensaadi is the genitive singular form used in phrases like kondensaadi kogus (amount of condensate) or kondensaadi koostis (condensate composition). It is not a distinct English technical term; in English texts the concept is usually referred to simply as condensate.

Condensation is the process by which a substance transitions from a gas to a liquid when it is cooled or compressed. Condensates arise in many industrial and natural settings. In steam-generating systems, condensate refers to liquid water collected from steam lines, which must be drained and returned to the boiler cycle using traps and condensate return systems. In the oil and gas industry, hydrocarbon condensates are liquids that separate from gas streams and are recovered as a valuable product known as condensate or natural gasoline.

Condensate handling includes separation, storage, and treatment to control impurities, corrosion, and environmental impact. In distillation and petrochemical plants, condensates form within columns and piping as vapor cools. In meteorology, condensation underlies cloud and dew formation, but that usage differs from industrial condensates.
