Koheesi

Koheesi is a fictional term used to describe both a people and their language in worldbuilding and speculative fiction. In this context, the Koheesi are portrayed as a riverine culture whose language shares their name.

Etymology varies by source within the fictional universe, but the term is commonly linked to water imagery and the riverine environment that defines their homeland.

Geographically, Koheesi communities are said to live in a delta and archipelago along the Laba River. Dwellings are traditionally built on stilts, and travel centers on canoes and small boats.

Linguistically, Koheesi is described as an agglutinative language with subject–object–verb order and postpositional marking. The phonology features a modest inventory: vowels a e i o u and consonants p t k m n s l r h, with occasional glottal stops.
