KisHanság

KisHanság is a protected landscape area located in Hungary, within the administrative region of Győr-Moson-Sopron county. It is situated in the southwestern part of the Hanság region, a historical wetland that has undergone significant transformation over the centuries. The area is characterized by its diverse mosaic of habitats, including fens, marshes, grasslands, and small wooded patches.

Historically, the Hanság was a vast marshland, a significant part of the Pannonian Basin's wetland system.
