Kirstkülmikud

Kirstkülmikud, often translated as "chest freezers" or "deep freezers," are a type of freezer characterized by their horizontal, chest-like design. Unlike upright freezers that open like a refrigerator door, kirstkülmikud have a lid that opens from the top. This design offers several advantages, including increased energy efficiency due to less cold air escaping when the lid is opened. The open interior space also allows for the storage of larger, bulkier items that might not fit into a standard upright freezer.

These appliances are commonly used in both residential and commercial settings.
