Kindlustusselts is the Estonian term for an insurance company or insurer, a legal entity that undertakes risk by issuing insurance contracts and collecting premiums. In practice the phrase covers a range of commercially run entities that provide insurance products to individuals and businesses, including life, health and various non-life lines.

A kindlustusselts performs core insurance activities such as risk assessment, underwriting, premium calculation, policy administration, and claims handling.
