Killari is a fictional city in the realm of Valara, created for fantasy literature and role-playing campaigns. It sits on the floodplain between the Sora and Mirin rivers and functions as a regional market hub. In the established lore, Killari is home to about 28,000 residents and features a mix of historic stones and modern buildings.

The name Killari is said to derive from an ancient river-dwelling language, combining elements that mean fortress and river. The city comprises a dense old town with narrow lanes, a bustling riverside district, and a walled quarter that houses civic offices and a small cathedral.

Historically, Killari began as a river trading post in the early medieval era and grew through guild charters and connections to caravan routes. It endured regional conflicts and shifts in trade networks, eventually adopting a mayoral council system in the 18th century while preserving several legacy guild institutions.

Today Killari is governed by a mayor and a twelve-member city council elected in regular cycles. The economy centers on textiles, pottery, timber, and river trade, with the harbor facilitating ferries and cargo along the Sora–Mirin corridor. In its fictional chronology, Killari faced a major flood in 1804 that reshaped parts of the riverfront and endured a siege during the War of Valara, after which it was rebuilt and revived as a regional center.
