Kielitaitotaso
Kielitaitotaso, or language proficiency level, is a measure of an individual's ability to understand, speak, read, and write a particular language. It is often used in language education and assessment to determine the stage of language learning and to set goals for further improvement. The most widely recognized scale for measuring kielitaitotaso is the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The CEFR defines six levels of proficiency: A1 (beginner), A2 (elementary), B1 (intermediate), B2 (upper intermediate), C1 (advanced), and C2 (proficient). Each level describes the ability to perform specific tasks in the language, such as understanding simple sentences, expressing opinions, and handling complex texts. Other scales and frameworks may exist, but the CEFR is the most widely used in Europe and beyond. Assessing kielitaitotaso typically involves a combination of tests, interviews, and observations, allowing for a comprehensive evaluation of a learner's language skills.
