Kidjo, often credited as Angélique Kidjo, is a Beninese‑French singer and activist. Born in 1960 in Ouidah, Benin, she began performing locally before moving to Paris to pursue a professional career. She sings in multiple languages, including Fon, Yoruba, French, and English.
