Ketosugar

In an educational or biochemical sense, ketosugar may be used informally to discuss the coexistence of ketone bodies and glucose as energy sources. On ketogenic regimens, the body shifts toward ketogenesis and fat oxidation, but small amounts of glucose are still used by certain tissues; discussions sometimes refer to a balance between ketones and sugars during transition states, though this is not a formal metabolic pathway.

Limitations: The term is not recognized as a formal biochemical category. Readers should rely on established terms (glycolysis, gluconeogenesis, ketogenesis, beta-oxidation) and clinical guidance for ketogenic diets. The lack of standard definition means the term can be ambiguous and may be used differently by authors.
