Kelurahan is an administrative division in Indonesia, functioning as the lowest level of urban administrative unit. It is situated below the kecamatan (sub-district). Each kelurahan is typically headed by a lurah, who is a civil servant appointed by the government. The primary role of a kelurahan is to implement government programs at the grassroots level and provide public services to its residents.
