Kathodenstrahltechnik
Kathodenstrahltechnik, also known as cathode ray technology, refers to a set of technologies that utilize a beam of electrons, a cathode ray, for various applications. The core component is a cathode ray tube (CRT), a vacuum tube containing an electron gun and a fluorescent screen. The electron gun, typically a heated filament, emits electrons that are then accelerated and focused into a narrow beam by electrostatic or magnetic fields. This beam is then deflected, usually by magnetic coils, to sweep across the fluorescent screen. When the electrons strike the screen, they excite phosphors, causing them to emit light, thereby creating an image.
The most well-known application of Kathodenstrahltechnik was the cathode ray tube television and computer monitor. These
