Karkeja
Karkeja is a village situated in the southeastern part of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, within the Jalal-Abad Region's Kemin District. It lies at an altitude of approximately 1,200 meters above sea level, surrounded by the foothills of the Trans-Alay Mountains. The population of Karkeja was recorded as 1,480 inhabitants in the 2009 national census, with a predominantly Kyrgyz demographic and a minority presence of Uzbeks and Russians.
