Kantasäiliöt

Kantasäiliöt, often translated as intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), are reusable industrial containers designed for the transportation and storage of bulk liquid and semi-bulk materials. They consist of a rigid outer frame, typically made of metal, and an inner plastic bladder or tank. This combination offers a sturdy and protective housing for the contents while providing a secure and leak-proof containment.

IBCs are widely used across various industries, including chemicals, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture. Their standardized design, typically a cube shape with dimensions of 1200mm x 1000mm x 1160mm, allows for efficient handling, stacking, and storage, fitting seamlessly into standard pallet racking and transportation systems. They are equipped with a top filling opening and a bottom discharge valve, facilitating easy filling and emptying processes.

The advantages of using kantasäiliöt are numerous. They offer a cost-effective solution compared to smaller drums or specialized tanks, as their large capacity reduces the number of individual containers needed.
