Kamenari

Kamenari is a coastal village in western Montenegro, located at the northern entrance to the Bay of Kotor in the municipality of Herceg Novi. It lies opposite Lepetani on the shore across the bay and sits along the Adriatic Highway that runs along the coast.

The settlement is best known for hosting a regular car ferry crossing across the Bay of Kotor, connecting Kamenari with Lepetani. The ferry provides a crucial cross-bay link for residents and visitors, facilitating travel between the northern Montenegrin coast and the Lustica peninsula, as well as access to the towns of Tivat and Budva. The service remains a busy part of the regional transport network, particularly during the summer tourist season.

Economy in Kamenari centers on ferry-related transport services, fishing, and small-scale tourism. The coastline features a quay and a small marina area, along with several taverns and guesthouses that cater to travelers. The village maintains traditional Montenegrin coastal architecture, characterized by stone houses and narrow streets.
