Kakatiyas
The Kakatiyas were a South Indian dynasty that ruled over the Telugu-speaking region of the Deccan Plateau. Their reign is generally placed between the 7th and 14th centuries CE, with their peak power during the 12th and 13th centuries. The Kakatiyas emerged as feudatories of the Kalyani Chalukyas and later declared their independence, establishing their capital at Orugallu, modern-day Warangal.
