Kaistanpäästösignaalia refers to a bandpass signal in signal processing. It is a signal whose energy is concentrated within a specific frequency range, while frequencies outside this range are significantly attenuated or absent. Essentially, it is a signal that has passed through a bandpass filter.

A bandpass signal can be characterized by its center frequency and its bandwidth. The center frequency is the geometric mean of the upper and lower cutoff frequencies of the bandpass filter.
