Kaasutinjärjestelmien
Kaasutinjärjestelmät, often referred to as carburetors in English, are mechanical devices used in internal combustion engines to mix air and fuel in the correct proportion for combustion. They were the primary fuel delivery system for most gasoline engines before the widespread adoption of fuel injection. A carburetor works by utilizing the Venturi effect, where the fast-moving air passing through a narrow section of the carburetor creates a low-pressure area. This low pressure draws fuel from a fuel bowl through small jets into the airstream, where it atomizes and mixes. The amount of air and fuel entering the engine is controlled by a throttle valve, typically operated by the accelerator pedal or lever.
Different types of carburetors exist, including downdraft, updraft, and sidedraft designs, each suited for specific engine
