Königsfelden
Königsfelden is a locality and former municipality in the Swiss canton of Aargau. Today, it forms part of the municipality of Windisch, situated in the district of Brugg. The name Königsfelden translates to "King's Field" and is historically significant due to a key event that occurred there.
In 1308, the Holy Roman Emperor Albert I was assassinated at Königsfelden by his nephew, John Parricida.
The Königsfelden Abbey was secularized in 1528 during the Reformation, and its buildings were later repurposed.
