Kärlsprouting

Kärlsprouting is a term used in botany to describe the formation of new shoots from the vascular tissue of a plant. This process can occur in response to injury or stress, and it is a mechanism by which plants can regenerate damaged tissues. The new shoots, often referred to as adventitious shoots, arise from cambial cells or other vascular parenchyma. These cells, which are normally involved in secondary growth or storage, dedifferentiate and then redifferentiate to form meristematic tissue, leading to shoot development.
