Jövök

Jövök is the first-person singular present indicative form of the Hungarian verb jönni, meaning “to come.” It expresses that the speaker is coming or on the way to a location, and is used in everyday speech to indicate immediate or near-term movement toward something or someone.

In Hungarian, jönni conjugates in the present tense with the stem jön- and person endings. The standard present-tense forms include én jövök, te jössz, ő jön, mi jövünk, ti jöttök, ők jönnek. The word follows typical Hungarian phonology and vowel harmony patterns, and the form jövök specifically marks the first-person singular.

Usage examples illustrate its range. “Most jövök” means “I am coming now” or “I’ll be there shortly,” while “Jövök haza” can mean “I am coming home.” The form is used for literal movement toward a location as well as in broader or figurative senses, such as arriving at a decision or reply.

Note that jövök should not be confused with jövő, which means “future” and functions as a noun or adjective. Although they share a common root and similar spelling, they belong to different grammatical categories and have distinct meanings.
