Jõuate
Jõuate is an Estonian verb form. It is the second-person plural present indicative form of the verb jõuda, meaning to reach or to arrive. The infinitive is jõuda. Other present-tense forms include jõuan, jõuad, jõuab, jõuame, jõuavad. Thus, jõuate is used when addressing multiple people who are performing the action of reaching or arriving.
In usage, jõuate describes an upcoming or expected arrival at a destination and is common in everyday
- Te jõuate siia varsti. (You [plural] will reach/arrive here soon.)
- Verbs in Estonian do not change for gender, and the second-person plural form te jõuate is used
- Jõuate contrasts with other persons: ma jõuan, sa jõuad, ta jõuab, me jõuame, nad jõuavad.
