Jääminen
Jääminen is a Finnish verb that translates to "to freeze" or "to be left behind." It encompasses a range of meanings related to a state of immobility or being stationary due to cold, or the act of remaining in a particular place or situation. In its most literal sense, jääminen refers to the process of water turning into ice, a common phenomenon in colder climates. This can apply to bodies of water, such as lakes and rivers, as well as more generally to objects or surfaces becoming covered in ice.
Beyond its physical meaning, jääminen also describes the state of being stuck or unable to move forward.
