Jurybesluiten, often translated as jury verdicts, are the formal decisions reached by a jury in a legal trial. These decisions are the culmination of the jury's deliberation process, where they consider the evidence presented by both the prosecution and the defense, as well as the judge's instructions on the law. In criminal cases, a jury's verdict typically determines whether the defendant is guilty or not guilty of the charges. In civil cases, the jury decides on liability and, if applicable, the amount of damages to be awarded.

The process leading to a jurybesluit begins after all parties have presented their cases and the judge has provided instructions to the jury. The jury then retires to a private room to discuss the case. Their discussions are confidential, and they are tasked with reaching a unanimous or, in some jurisdictions, a majority decision, depending on the specific rules of the court. Once a consensus is reached, the jury returns to the courtroom to deliver their verdict. This verdict is then officially recorded and becomes part of the court record. The judge will then proceed with sentencing in criminal cases or entering a judgment in civil cases based on the jury's findings.
